​About the event

This event aims to inform potential applicants about the funding opportunities of the 2023 calls of Horizon Europe Cluster 4 'Digital, Industry and Space' Work Programme 2023-2024.
​
Speakers from the European Commission will go into depth on the call topics, the evaluation and the award process. Prospective applicants will have the opportunity to ask questions on what’s new and learn how to draft successful proposals.

Six objectives:
  1. Climate neutral, circular and digitised production
  2. Increased autonomy in key strategic value chains for resilient industry
  3. World leading data and computing technologies
  4. Digital and emerging technologies for competitiveness and fit for the Green Deal
  5. Open strategic autonomy in developing, deploying and using global space-based infrastructures, services, applications and data
  6. A human-centred and ethical development of digital and industrial technologies.

  • key digital technologies including quantum technologies
  • emerging enabling technologies
  • advanced materials
  • artificial intelligence and robotics
  • next generation internet
  • advanced computing and Big Data

​The second Horizon Europe Strategic Plan 2025-2027


​As the first step in the process, the Commission consults citizens and stakeholders. Citizens will be consulted during a dedicated workshop in December.

The Strategic Plan 2025-2027 will also be covered in the largest ever public online consultation of Horizon Europe. The consultation will also feature questions on the past and current research and innovation programmes (Horizon 2020 ex-post evaluation and Horizon Europe interim evaluation). The exercise will be launched in November on Have your say portalSearch for available translations of the preceding linkEN••• and will remain open for 12 weeks.
The Strategic Plan will be drafted with early involvement and extensive exchanges with EU Member States and extensive exchanges with the European Parliament, and is expected to be adopted in 2024.
