Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem
Copernicus is managing the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem portal following the contract announcement for enhanced satellite data access and utilization. This portal serves as a gateway, offering access to Sentinel and other data, along with data processing capabilities.
Building on the current Copernicus Data Hub, which has seen over 500 PB of Sentinel data downloaded by a growing community of over 600,000 registered users, the new ecosystem ensures continuous open and free data access, expanding possibilities for data processing and access. Users can now access the initial release of the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem via the new web portal, with additional functionalities and updates planned for the coming months, aligning with the service roadmap outlined on the portal.
Current users of the Copernicus Data Hub could re-register on the new web portal and transition their workflows to the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem before July 2023.
