e-Bacchus Database is the EU Register of wine. The protected wines of the 28 EU countries and 14 third countries are listed in the database.

About e-Bacchus


  • consists of the Register of designations of origin and geographical indications protected in the EU in accordance with European Parliament and Council Regulation 1308/2013
  • lists non-EU countries' geographical indications and names of origin protected in the EU in accordance with bilateral agreements on trade in wine concluded between the EU and the non-EU countries concerned
  • lists the traditional terms protected in the EU in accordance with European Parliament and Council Regulation 1308/2013
  • E-Bacchus is available in 23 EU languages.
