EU-Low Concentration of Interest subgroup
The task of the European Commission subgroup on EU-LCI values is to derive and recommend EU-wide harmonised health-based reference values for the assessment of product emissions, based on the so-called ‘lowest concentration of interest’ (LCI) concept. It was established by EC-JRC, Ispra in 2011 and is now constituted as a Subgroup of the Expert Group on Dangerous Substances within the larger committee structure of the EC Advisory Group on Construction Products. It uses set procedures and protocols to establish EU-LCI values in a rigourous, scientific and transparent manner.
Its membership comprises a wide range of stakeholders and individual experts and an independent Chair (see Members section on the About page), ensuring that our work is well informed and uninfluenced by potential conflicts of interest.
