European Agenda for Culture 2018


This document was published by the European Commission in 2018 to update the European Agenda for Culture to the evolution of the sector and therefore to provide a framework for the new phase of cooperation started in 2019.


The new phase has been formalized by the EU Council at the end 2018 with its Work Plan for Culture 2019-2022..

This New Agenda for Culture, jointly with the EU Council Work Plan for Culture 2019-2022 adopted at the end 2018, updates the objectives of the current multiannual executive programme Creative Europe 2014-2020 and the coming one, for the 2021-2027 period.

The New Agenda for Culture also includes, as part of this strategy, the Year of Cultural Heritage 2018, launched in 2017 by the European Council, in Göteborg.
