EUNEWS - ENERGY POLICY
The EU pushes for the energy transition
The EU wants to lead the global energy transition with € 1.5 billion. After some disappointment at COP26, the EU will heavily fund technologies that can facilitate an energy transition and allow European companies to make global progress. A strategy that will bear fruit by 2030 and it will prepare the climate neutrality goals for 2050.
Which projects are funded?
EU will finance breakthrough technologies for renewable energy, energy-intensive industries, energy storage, as well as capture, use and storage of CO2. For promising technologies but not mature enough for a grant, there will be project development assistance from the European Investment Bank.
How to participate?
As we reported in our "Latest News on Energy" webpage, an information day was organized on 10 November 2021 to give potential candidates and other interested parties the opportunity to obtain information and ask questions about the new call.
Here the recording:
N.B. If you have not participated in the information day of the European Commission can inquire via the link we provide on the "EU Funding, Tender & Procurement opportunities" page. There you can consult the documents for participating in this Call. Deadline was on 3 March 2022.
