​Since 1953, the European Union has enacted 52,000 legislative acts and those still in force are more than 32,000, with more than 30 types of different acts: Directives, Regulations, Decisions, International Agreements, etc. And every legislative measure has a very important impact on all European countries.

Every year, Brussels decides about 1800 new legislative measures.

The EU Commission, which is also the main executive body, is responsible for the implementation of the EU budget.
